NBC’s popular summer reality show ends its season with a swashbuckling finale. Beyonce must have been right to say girls run the world, or perhaps the America’s Got Talent.
On Wednesday night, just after some weeks of much-spirited competition, the familiar NBC reality show ended the show, crowning the Season 12 champion. Awesomely, both the winner and the runner-up were ladies who are too young to drive.
Darci Lynne Farmer goes smiles home with the prize
Darci Lynne Farmer, a ventriloquist from Oklahoma, won the $1million cheque. The 12-year old ventriloquist beat out Angelica Hale, a golden-voiced crooner from Georgia.
The host, Tyra Banks declared Farmer as the winner, stating that 52 million votes were cast; she broke into tears of joy while her two brothers made their way to the stage to celebrate her.
Farmer has been the frontrunner in the reality show since she got the judges spellbound on her first audition way back in May.
She caused Mel B to press her Golden Buzzer, which took Farmer through to the quarterfinals
On the other hand, Hale also was outstanding with her winning. She won over Chris Hardwick, a guest judge with her version of Girl On Fire by Alicia Key. Before it all dropped to Hale and Farmer, other acts were sequentially eliminate. The likes of Mandy Harvey, Sara, Light Balance were dismissed in that manner.
