President Trump seemingly kicked out British boyband One Direction from one Trump hotel after they had refused to meet one of his daughters, it was revealed.
In a recent interview with Rollacoaster, member Liam Payne spoke about the short-lived Manhattan property stay.
Payne also said that Trump himself called the phone in their room to ask if they wouldn’t mind meeting either Tiffany or Ivanka, it is still unclear which daughter they meant, and the band’s manager declined when he refused to wake the members up.
Trump then allegedly threw the whole band out of his hotel, even refusing to allow them to exit through the secret high-profile exit.
“He said ‘well, wake them up’ and I was like ‘no’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously, in New York, we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave,” said Payne.
One Direction have been on a hiatus extended for a few years as the members enjoy their own solo careers. Payne is releasing his first record near the end of this year.
Payne’s former bandmate, Niall Horan also recently pledged to fans that One Direction will ‘definitely’ be reuniting at some point in the next few years.
Recent Trump Issues
Meanwhile, Trump has accumulated a lot of issues with other celebrities, most recently with rapper Snoop Dogg earlier in the week.
Snoop had posted a clip from a music video featuring him shooting a fake gun at an impersonator of the President, leading to much criticism.
Trump released a reply on Wednesday to the clip that brought out significant controversy by saying that Snoop may have been arrested had the video featured former President Obama, he posted on Twitter.
