Prince Harry’s new girlfriend Meghan Markle has been seen on a shopping trip in London as she spends the weekend with her new love at Kensington Palace.
Actress Ms Markle, best known for her role in Suits, had asked for a break from the show so she could take some important time out.
She has now been spotted in London filling up two shopping bags at the organic Whole Foods store on Kensington High Street.
Ms Markle and Prince Harry are reported to have been desperate to see each other having spent some time apart.
The actress tried to keep a low profile, pulling a brown baseball cap, over her face, but she was soon spotted and it became obvious it was her from the distinctive beaded bracelet which exactly matches one being worn by the Prince.
The fifth in line to the throne is set to begin a tour of the Caribbean on behalf of the Queen on November 20, so the new couple had wanted to see each other before he set off. The 35-year-old actress took time out from filming to fly to London from Canada to make sure she could spend time with her Prince.
Ms Markle is understood to have told producers that there was “something important” she had to do. The drama won’t actually finish filming for the Christmas break until next Thursday.
A source close to the actress said: “Meghan was desperate to see Harry but they still want to keep their relationship under wraps as much as possible.
“She’s staying at Kensington Palace with him. He can’t see her when he’s in the Caribbean as he’s representing his grandmother and it wouldn’t be appropriate.
“So now is the obvious time. It also means she can meet William and Kate who are staying at the palace this weekend.”
The couple were set to decide whether to go public with their relationship by watching England’s rugby team take on South Africa at Twickenham.
While he has already confirmed they are dating, that would be the first public appearance, in from of 82,000 fans at the stadium, along with a television audience.
Staff there have, however, been put on standby to expect the actress and are preparing a hospitality suite.
Harry is Vice Patron of the Rugby Football Union and will be at the match in his official capacity.
